Government College Bakawand, Bastar (C.G.)

Government college Bakawand is one of the emerging educational institution located in rural and tribal area (Block-Bakawand, Dist. – Bastar). Establishment year of Institution was in 2009. It was inaugurated by Former chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh on 25th January, 2011 in its own campus. The total Area of institution is 12.82 acers. From 2009 to 2014 time period teaching and learning process was conducted in government boy’s school Bakawand. In year 2021-2022 Total Enrolled Students Number is 462. Institute provide under graduation program currently three type of courses are running  BSc., BA, and BCom. In Government college Bakawand.

The primary motive to start the college was to give standard Education to the people of this region at an affordable price. The college has been recognized under UGC Act 1956 (2f). Our Institute/ college is affiliated by  Mahendra Karma University Jagdalpur and institute follows the curriculum of the same.

The institute is committed to be the center of excellence providing quality based education  it takes all necessary initiative steps for enhancement in quality education. Institute providing higher education to a large number of girls students.
